A Sore but Hopeful Morning
Four days post-surgery, I’m down to 470 pounds and adjusting to my new normal. While physical hunger is gone, I’m battling “head hunger”—those mental cravings that creep in. Recovery comes with its challenges, including unexpected upper body soreness, but each ache is a reminder that my body is healing. Today, my wife and I are off to Tulsa for some Christmas shopping, proving that life after surgery is about more than just weight loss—it's about embracing every moment.
